I love archaeological books with a bit of mystery and treasure hunting in it but I was disappointed a bit with this book.
He was an excellent writing style and it truly surprises me that this book isnt a “National Bestseller”! Everything wrapped up in a decent ending although a little far-fetched to completely enjoy it. Are the bell and the cymbal artifacts of this lost nation?

I wasn’t expecting it to be highbrow, but I did expect the level of text to be more college graduate and less early high school. The Catholic Church conspiracy was okay.

Anyways, from the beginning of the novel Brokaq was struck by how slow the plot moved. Yep, from the hand of God. Thanks for stopping by. Charles Brokaw is now made the list of favorite authors. Yes, it was that thinly veiled.

The premise was promising, yet was very unoriginal. Because, you know, no sexy times can follow that. Lourds is a fairly reprehensible character. Thomas Lourds is a linguist and I do understand that while he is a professor that he doesn’t have the typical look of a stuffy old professor but he was far too aloof and unconcerned with his role as the romantic interest to not one but both of the female side characters and was a bit of a playboy but in the stuck up kind of way so there was a ton of eye rolling from me due to his behaviour as well as his overall holier than thou attitude he had about his abilities to solve the code to discover Atlantis.
Unless he was the academic version of George Clooney, but that wasn’t the impression that I got.
One character is using a Micro Flash Drive and another downloads pictures from the Internet to his camera. They were some of the worst villians that I’ve ever come across in my reading. The plot itself is fascinating, and an interesting take on what the civilization of Atlantis may have been like. Although a bit slow at times, I would gladly read the next book in this series, As a first endeavor The Atlantis Code clde background and characters.
